Mobile Deposit Capture

Mobile Deposit Capture is a free service available within the GPO mobile app. This function can be used to securely deposit a check using the camera on mobile devices.

Important Information

• Availability of funds is dependent on GPO Federal Credit Union’s policies and funds may be held until the check clears.

• This is a free service from GPO; however, fees for data usage may apply by your current mobile carrier.

• Checks may be held for review or rejected for deposit. Some reasons can include:

1) Missing or illegible signatures

2) Check writer’s signature loops into the MICR Line

3) Folds on the check causes a shadow on MICR Line

4) Print on check is difficult to read

5) Check MICR line is difficult to read

Helpful Tips

• Place check on a dark surface and make sure it borders entire check in snapshot

• Use natural lighting and avoid using a flash which can cause a glare

• Keep check in a safe place for up to 60 days after using Mobile Deposit Capture

• Make sure that the camera is completely focused before taking the picture
